Our Commitment
Beyond Remade will deliver a new scalable manufacturing process to the clothing industry that up-cycles and recreates garments from fashion waste.
“We would like pre-owned or remanufactured collections to be 10% of people's wardrobe in the short term and then up to 50% in the longer term. So to get there we know we need to provide products that customers are loving and want to keep wearing.”
Let us take you through our aim, our process and our impact.
Our Aim
Our aim is to scale up our ability to take pre-loved products and materials, and use this to recreate new garments in the most responsible way possible.
It sounds simple but closing the loop is a persistent challenge within the fashion industry. At Beyond Remade we harness our parent company’s ecosystem of businesses to centralise and streamline all of these processes through one company, all working to one aim.
Our Process
Beyond Remade is designed and crafted from material sourced at the beginning of our circular fashion loop. The design house is agile, with the ability to innovate according to what raw materials are available from the deconstructed garments available to us. Our collective of new-age designers are inspired by our vision to create sustainably, in an earth-first process.
The Beyond Remade process broken down:
- Beyond Remade receives already deconstructed garments and liability fabrics from BVH services in a workable textile
- We tap into our collective of zero-waste, upcycle expert designers to showcase our available materials
- Our designers then pitch for materials and present collections to the Beyond Remade founder Steven Bethell and our Remade Team.
- Beyond Remade then calculates the % of materials used within each presented collection to ensure we are working to the highest possible % used with minimal waste/offcuts (any minimal waste is then moved back into the circular system to be used by BVH services through our partners such as Renewcell)
- The factory machinery and workers are briefed on the new collection. The new Beyond Remade collection goes into production
This is how we can scale and work through higher volumes of up-cycled and waste materials currently seen within the clothing industry.
Our Circular Fashion Loop
Our family of brands work together to achieve our aligned goals. Each organisation solves a problem at each stage of the production and supply chain, from waste, to landfill, sourcing and manufacturing.

Our Impact
We have split our impact into 3 core areas:
- Fibres and Materials
- Energy and Water
- People and Workers
Fibres and Materials
Our parent company, BVH Services reclaims material from a continuous flow of used garments which we determine can be used for an upcycled garment that can have a new life and new beginning.
BVH is partnered with the ZERO WASTE council, Ellen Macarther Foundation and SMART (Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association), with whom we continue to share learnings, and to learn from. We are on a mission to improve and increase the industry’s ability to reuse and recreate products from waste materials.
Energy and Water
We offset all electricity used with solar energy, working towards an electrical carbon-neutral status business. At our manufacturing facility we have electricity tracking meters which monitor and calculate our energy usage. We have an in-built solar powered system, which we use to produce power used in production and send back to the grid.
We also operate a recycled water system; all water used is cleaned and reused using a reverse osmosis process, meaning around 87% of our water is in constant rotation giving us the lowest new water usage in the entire BVH family.
Our People
At our Bank & Vogue group of companies, our people are at the heart of how we operate, we believe that encouraging you to be your authentic self makes us better. We embrace and encourage equal opportunities for all team members. We know that our people are our best asset and we will continue to build and foster an environment that allows our people to feel included, valued and heard. Globally, we are committed to constructing "Gold Standard" employment in all countries and we operate in.
We are officially SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) audited in terms of people and processes.
